Mr. Kenneth Black, age 79 of the Blake Community, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11AM in Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Harris & Bro. David Smith officiating. As a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and respected local businessman, he leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations to come. For 44 years, he was the proud owner of Black’s Tire Inc. Through his hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his customers, he built a business that became more than just a place of work—it became a symbol of trust and reliability. His work ethic and integrity were second to none, and it was clear to everyone who met him that he poured his heart into everything he did. But his legacy didn’t just stop at his business. He had a genuine love for cattle farming. He became a well-known figure in the cattle show circuit, attending numerous competitions across the US and winning wherever he went. Each show was an adventure he eagerly looked forward to—he thrived on the travel, the meticulous preparation of his cattle, and the thrill of competition. His farm wasn't just a livelihood; it was his passion. But his passions didn’t stop there; he was an active and steadfast member of the Blake community. Whether it was through his involvement with the Rainsville Jaycees, the DeKalb County Alabama Cattlemen's Association, or the Blake Fire Department, he gave generously of his time, his resources, and his spirit. His presence in these organizations was not just as a member but as a leader who believed in making his community a better place for all. He was more than just a man—he was a pillar of strength, a rock for his family, friends, church family of New Home Baptist Church, and the community he loved so much. His laughter, his kindness, and his willingness to help others will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. To his family, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched, let us remember the example he set. His legacy of service, love, and community will continue to inspire us as we carry on his work and honor his memory. May we find comfort in knowing that he was truly loved and cherished by so many, and that the impact he made on this world will never be forgotten. You will always be in our hearts.
