Mr. Terry Wayne Padgett age ¬67 of Sylvania, AL passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00PM at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Byrum & Family Members & Friends officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home, Inc. directing, www.rainsvillefuneralhome.com. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1st from 4PM-8PM & Wednesday, March 2nd from 12PM-2PM. Survivors: Wife of 48 Years: Donna Crane Padgett, Sons: Daniel (Carol) Padgett, Dale (Crystal) Padgett, Daughter: Destin (Taylor) Padgett, Grandchildren: Scott and Paige Padgett, Great Grandchild: Melanie, 2 Sisters: Shirley Turner and Carol Horton. Preceded in Death: Parents: Bonnie Bates Padgett and Wendell Murray Padgett, Brother: Winford “Winkie” Padgett, Sister: Judy Goolesby. Terry was retired as a Master Brick and Stone Mason, after a 36-year career. He was a family man with an unyielding work ethic who worked hard to provide for his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Terry was a member of the Sylvania Masonic Lodge for many years. In his free time, Terry enjoyed working on his land, researching Cherokee Native American culture, and playing with his Granddogs.
