Terry David Dupree

Terry David Dupree, of Henagar, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched many lives with his steady presence and quiet strength. Terry was a dedicated follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For those who knew him, Terry was well known for his love of a wide variety of music from Sacred Harp to traditional hymns to Bluegrass all the way to Contemporary Christian. A funeral service to honor Terry's life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel. Brothers Josh Hill, Denny Mashburn, and Mike Miller will officiate the service. Following the service, burial will take place at New Home Cemetery on Highway 40, with Rainsville Funeral Home Inc. directing. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. Terry was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life to The Heil Company. Throughout his career there, he worked in multiple roles including as a grinder, welder, in the parts department, and eventually retired from his position in purchasing. His strong work ethic and quiet determination earned him the respect of his coworkers and community. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Kerby Dupree of Henagar. He was a proud father to two sons: Eric David Dupree and wife Ashton of Henagar, and John Corey Dupree and wife Brandy of Fort Payne. Terry was also a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren: Kolby Dupree, John Cooper Dupree, Lila Dupree, Oakley Dupree, and Aria Dupree. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Wayne Dupree of Rainsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Snowden Ensley and Flora Dupree; his brothers, Harold Don Dupree and S.E. Dupree; and his sisters, Dorothy Jean Dupree Patterson, Frances Diarce Dupree Miller, and Samantha Willo Ruth Dupree Kennedy. Terry’s legacy is one of love, commitment, and deep family roots. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
