Edna Wilson

Edna (Eddeé) Wilson passed peacefully at home with family by her side on August 10th, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. The only daughter of William and Gertrude Jones, Edna came into the world and specifically Dekalb County Alabama on April 20th, 1946. She attended Fyffe High School and eventually began a career with Trammell Crow and continued in property management for many years. Eddeé owned several businesses over her lifetime including Ashford Interiors and The Looking Glass Boutique. She took great pleasure in getting to know The Looking Glass customers who often came in for advice or a chat even when they weren’t shopping. Eddeé was an avid gardener and known for her green thumb. She could tame any landscape and her limelight hydrangeas were the envy of friends and neighbors. She could be found every morning tending to her potted plants and watering her flower beds when she lived on the bluff in Section. Eddeé was a lover and savior of animals. She had a heart for animals and rescued more strays than we can count. She fostered, rehomed or adopted any abandoned dog or cat that made its way down her driveway or that she spotted along the road. Eddeé was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Jones, father William Jones and nephew Mark Jones. She is survived by her husband Tony Wilson of Rainsville, Alabama, her brother Vontee Jones, her daughter Kellie Keeble and son in law Micheal Keeble, and her step daughters Jennifer (Charles) Whitten, Julie (Eric) Funk, and Tara (John) Sikon. She will be remembered by her grandchildren Brett (Ivy) McCoy, Matt McCoy, Kaitlin (Ryan) Bobo, Emily Whitten, Sydney Funk and Issac and Abby Sikon and will live forever in the laughter of her great granddaughter Lola Kate McCoy. Visitation will be held on August 14th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Broadway Baptist Church Faith Chapel in Rainsville, Alabama with services immediately following at 11:30AM.
